riverside park RESIDENTS' ASSOCIATION

DISTRICT 4 - Check Up!

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

One of the most important functions of the City Commission is setting the City Budget in September every year. It is through this process that we fund all of our objectives. This includes our Community Priorities such as improving Public Safety (reducing response times, adding Police & Firefighters, equipment,...), upgrading Infrastructure (water, sewer, flooding, stormwater), improving Traffic & Sidewalks, and investing in our Parks.

Last month I hosted an initial meeting with all the District 4 Association Presidents. I invited the City Manager and the Budget Director to present the proposed budget and review our priorities. I plan on hosting a Townhall meeting later this month to include all residents of District 4.

September 5th is our first City Commission Budget Hearing, followed by the second and final hearing on Sept 19th. I encourage you to attend these meetings to help us set our financial goals for the coming year and beyond.

Dr. Warren Sturman,

District 4 Commissioner

City of Fort Lauderdale
